cottino design

Hi There,

I am a major humanist! I consider my role as a designer more on the lines of being a visual interpreter, professional puzzle piecer and an extension of my client while helping them achieve their vision.

“I am a major humanist! I consider my role as a designer more on the lines of being a visual interpreter, professional puzzle piecer, and an extension of my client while helping them achieve their vision.”

I’m Cati Glasser the designer behind Cottino Design. After working with notable design firms in high-end residential and bespoke commercial design nationally and abroad, I branched off to create Cottino Design; an interior design studio that specializes in creating comfortable, functional, and timeless interiors with a hint of vintage. I am a big believer that environments play a huge role in our everyday habits and goals. I work with my clients to make sure that their home grows with and for them.

I believe beauty is tangible and tend to curate rooms and homes that are a mix of high-quality, conscious, and sentimental items. My formal education in fine arts, as well as BA in Art History from UCLA with a focus on architectural preservation, was a seamless transition into the design industry and lends to a very out-of-the-box, solution-orientated / resourceful design perspective.

Our Design Studio has some amazing resources available for your next project. From conception to completion, our services include new build construction and renovation, space planning, custom furniture design, layout and styling, art curating, color consultation, and project management.

Thought Process

Mindfulness is at the base of our design practice. Our goal is to create joyful transformative spaces that are well thought out, comfortable, functional, clean, and timeless. These are our guiding factors when it comes to design:

  • Human - How you currently interact with the space including ergonomics and functionality.

  • Environment- We take in all architectural elements and optimize them by spatial planning. We also look at how we can design in an eco-friendly way.

  • Psychological- Design has very therapeutic aspects to it. Physically changing an environment will change your outlook and mood. Our designs reflect how and what you want to feel in your home.

With these concepts in mind, we strive for open and communicative partnerships.  Our holistic approach makes the design process not only change your physical environment but also your emotional well-being by creating spaces to grow with.
